Hiroshima
(B&C Records LP CAS 1038) 6th August 1971
(Midi Star-Collection MID 20 105) 1976
(Prog Temple CD PTCD8003) 6th November 2012
Hiroshima was produced by Lou Reizner, who had produced Rod Stewart's first two albums, An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down and Gasoline Alley.
According to Mojo magazine, Reizner "not only shaped... Hiroshima but provided the voiceover on the title track, repeating the words of the actual broadcast that reported the first atomic bomb attack in August 1945." (Mojo, No. 216, November 2011)
In 1972 Reizner produced an orchestral version of Pete Townshend's rock opera Tommy, recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra with the English Chamber Choir and host of stars including Madeline Bell, Ringo Starr, Rod Stewart and Steve Winwood. He went on to produce Rick Wakeman's Journey To The Centre Of The Earth (1974) and the soundtrack to the film All This And World War II (1976). He died in London of stomach cancer on 26th June 1977.
Reviewing the Hirsohima album in Record Mirror, Valerie Mabbs wrote: "Somewhat disappointing, this collection, better tracks being She Belongs To The Night and the more pop based Goodbye Lover, which has stronger lead vocal and a hint of past harmonies." (Record Mirror, 7th August 1971, page 7)
Side 1: Hiroshima | This Time Tomorrow | She Belongs To The Night | Mary Goodbye | Ever Since I Can Remember | We're Gonna Change All This

That'll Be The Day (film soundtrack)
Wishful Thinking appeared in the film That'll Be The Day, starring David Essex as Jim MacLaine. "What's the band like?" he asked. "Not bad" came the reply. The song that they performed (as the band the Debonaires) is the old Cliff Richard and the Shadows hit It'll Be Me. The song appears on Side 4 (Disc 2) of the soundtrack album. Wishful Thinking also provided the backing for five songs by Billy Fury, which also appear on Side 4 (Disc 2).
